Family law matters are personal. You will deal with real people who take the time to understand your situation, explain your options clearly and help you make informed decisions about what comes next.

We are not cookie-cutter
No two families are the same. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to family law. You will deal primarily with the same person throughout your matter and receive advice tailored to your circumstances and priorities.
A joint application may suit you if you and your spouse both agree to apply for divorce and are willing to review and sign the application. You generally need to have been separated for at least 12 months and one day, with no reasonable likelihood of getting back together. We will check your eligibility and circumstances before proceeding. If you have lived under the same roof during separation, additional evidence may be needed.
Our professional fee for a straightforward joint divorce application is $1,320 inclusive of GST, plus Court filing fees. We assist with preparing your application, arranging signatures and filing it with the Court. We will confirm the scope and costs before you engage us. If additional work is needed, such as affidavits explaining separation under one roof, we will discuss and quote that work separately.
No. A divorce legally ends your marriage but does not resolve your property division, financial support or parenting arrangements. These matters require separate advice and may need separate documents or orders. You do not have to wait until you are divorced to address them. Time limits can apply after divorce, so tell us if your financial arrangements remain unresolved.
For a straightforward joint application, you can usually request that the Court deal with the application without either of you attending. We will advise if attendance or further evidence is needed. The overall timeframe depends on the Court's availability and your circumstances. If the divorce is granted, it usually becomes final one month and one day after the order is made.
